Rodrigo tomasso
VFX CREATIVE DIRECTOR
- a.k.a. Vfx Production Designer -
With an academic degree in "Information Science," he embarked on his VFX
career in Seattle, USA, under the guidance of professionals from
Vancouver Film School (VFS), Sheridan College, and renowned Hollywood
VFX specialists. Through rigorous training and dedication, he achieved an
international certification as a Visual Effects & 3D Animation
Artist. Additionally, he obtained official recognition as a Visual Effects
Professional from the prestigious Visual Effects Society, commonly known
as VES.
His professional journey began as a young VFX artist
during the dawn of the digital cinema era, contributing to film and
television post-production. These early experiences propelled him into
significant artistic and technical leadership roles, leading the
development of in-house departments at several
companies, including Juan José Campanella's production company, where he has worked closely with Campanella as an "Associate Partner" and "Vfx Department Founder/Director" for several years.
Rodrigo's
passion to communicate through visual effects reached a pivotal point in
his career with his work on VFX Design and VFX Supervision for the 2010
Academy Award-winning Foreign Film, "The Secret in Their Eyes." This achievement distinguished him as the first VFX Supervisor from Argentina to
be part of an argentinean Oscar-winning production team.
Today, with over two decades of experience in the film industry, he continues to pursue his passion: "contributing to the art of storytelling."
